An ergodic walk

I first learned about the concept of an ergodic system in my electrical engineering courses at the University of Illinois. Simply put, an ergodic system is one that has no memory – over the course of time, it can end up in any state.

And I thought, what a beautiful way to think about life – the fact that we can experience everything, redefine ourselves as we want at every juncture. And I went about my life with that as my goal.

To think back to that 22-year-old, we’d barely recognize each other today, and that’s exactly the point. There’s always something new to experience, interesting to learn or just a new way to present yourself to the world.

My latest projects are adult swimming lessons (I never really learned as a kid), guitar (also, I only learned from tabs). My homebase is in Chicago, Illinois, which is just a flight away from all the amazing people who’ve helped me realize myself.
